I am bringing this blog to life today – The Wolff Code – and for the first time in a while I am wondering what the hell am I doing… why the hell am I doing it… and why is it so hard.  Maybe you’ve asked yourself the same questions but not in the same context.

As an adventurer and hydrologist  – aka – Adventure Hydrologist,  (I will explain what the heck that is that soon enough)  I am always looking for places to visit, people to meet, and a great story about nature to learn.

But let’s cut to it… I travel darn near every weekend to keep my sanity and because there is so much to see, do and experience in life beyond an 8-5 job.  And thanks to some weird inner voice, that I am apparently quite fond of, my travel life always seems to focus on adventures.

Hiking, biking, running, swimming, kayaking, white water rafting, mountain climbing… you name it and there is a fairly good chance that I have done it and/or I’ve traveled somewhere to do it.

So why then, if I am always on the go, have I decided to undertake something that I only have experience doing in conversations around a camp fire or around a table with friends?  I am doing this because I can’t actually stop talking about my adventures and what I’ve learned from them.  And this may be the point where you may be thinking “well shoot, this Wolff guy is another travel blogger”… but give me the chance to prove you wrong.

I don’t just want to share with you where to explore or how to adventure “wisely”…that will happen as my stories unfold whether I like it or not.  Instead I want to do something many other blogs don’t do… I want to show you how profound the world around you actually is.  And not just pretty pictures!

I will show you how and why water is the most powerful force on earth.  I will take you to places where glaciers have, and are currently, shaping the mountains and valleys so that you can look into the landscape and see mother nature’s effortless work.  I will bring you along as I snorkel around endangered coral reefs and dive with Whale Sharks that are being protected through your support!  I plan to bring you and your friends with me as I smash through white water rapids, climb into dark caves, stand in the middle of super volcanoes and scramble to the summits of the some of the highest mountains on the planet… not just to show you that they exist but to tell you why and how they exist.  *FYI – I am terrified of caves…

The goal of The Wolff Code is to share with you my codes to living.  To make you more aware of the profound majesticness of nature and how absolutely insane she actually is when you just take the time to look and learn.  From my back yard to yours, there is more to learn and experience than we can imagine!!!

So if you’re looking for a travel ‘hack’ or two I have some great friends that I can point you to!  But if you’re looking to do more; go an adventure;  learn something about your world; and want to join me on the journey… I welcome you to The Wolff Code.

Cheers!
