Just a bit east of downtown San Diego you can find eagles made of granite, mountains forged along side tears in the earth and a perfectly remote hiking path along one of the most well known trails in the world.  And with endless vistas around you, its quite a departure from the crowded beaches of San Diego’s coast.

Most people visit San Diego and go right to one of its amazing beaches – totally understandable since you can get to one just minutes from the airport- but often miss out on an adventure in its local mountains.  In the Laguna’s (the local mountain range) weekend adventurers often visit wineries, a unique camel farm, or go on day hikes to touch a portion, or two of the Pacific Crest Trail.
